CBOC (Chili Bar Outdoor Center) specializes in whitewater adventures on the North, Middle, and South Forks of the American Rivers. Each of these rivers is distinct in character, offering a variety of flows that range from tranquil Class II floats to white-knuckle Class IV+ drops.

We use top-quality commercial paddle rafts in which all crew members participate following their guide's instructions. Our boats are modern, unsinkable, self-bailing 13 and 14 footers'-- ideal for the flow levels commonly encountered on the Forks of the American River. All of our trips include U.S. Coast Guard-approved safety equipment and stress-free shuttle service.

We also provide a hearty deli-style lunch on most of our trips.Our 12 acre private riverside campground has been expanded and improved again, and is a great convenience for boaters who arrive the evening before a trip, or groups that want to get away from mainstream stress in a park-like setting along the river.
