Chamberlain Falls Run

Whitewater rafting on the North Fork American RiverBeginning on the pristine peaks of the Desolation Wilderness, the spring runoff of the North Fork American roars down this narrow granite canyon with relentless determination. Unhampered by upstream dams, this cataract current plunges through almost 5 miles of nearly continuous rapids, slam dancing over gut-wrenching drops and boulder-chocked chutes. Slaughter's Sluice, Zig-Zag, Achilles Heel, and Bogus Thunder--it's a fast food feast for adrenaline junkies. Think you're tough enough? Excellent physical condition, previous rafting experience, and wetsuits are required. Sign up early for a ride you won't forget.

On day two we advance to our graduate course in river skills on the North Fork Chamberlain Falls run. It is the adventure combo of a lifetime, a PhD in unmitigated fun. Necessary experience is gained on the first day, but good physical condition is mandatory. Wetsuits will be needed on the North Fork and are included free.
